In Indian Ayurvedic medicine system Punarnava herb has been used to treat Jaundice. It has many medicinal properties including diuretic effect in the body. It’s roots are used in the treatment of Jaundice and other the liver diseases.

This is also know in eastern Uttar Pradesh in India as Gajpurana or Gadhpurna. This herb is so good for curing jaundice and other the liver and stomach related problems. You can find this herb all over India. But at sides of railway tracks and untouched land parts you can find it very easily. Direction to use Punanva in jaundice

  • In morning and evening wash 3-4 roots of Punarnava and make a fine paste of these roots and drink it by adding some water and sugar as this herb root is very bitter. You can drink it by adding some sugar.
  • You can drink this herb root paste for curing other stomach, UTI and the liver related problems. You can also eat leaf of this herb to keep your digestion and metabolism good.
  • As per my experience with regular use one can recovered recovered completely within month.

Side effects

There is no know side effect of this herb According to Ayurveda, herbs are taken in combination with other herbs to neutralize the toxicity of one herb with the opposing effect of the other or to enhance the particular effect of one herb with the help of other. But it can reduce libido for short duration.
