Trikatu is a very famous classical warming herbal formulation of Ayurveda. In Sanskrit Tri means three and Katu means pungent, so this combination of three pungent called Trikatu. Trikatu churna or powder is prepared by mixing equal amount of fruits of Pippali, Kali mirch and dried rhizome of Adrak (Sunthi). You can make Trikatu churna at home. For making this churna you will need three spices Kali mirch, Sonth and Long pepper in eqaul amount. All should be pulverised and sieved to get a fine powder, which is trikatu.
