Recipe : Pasta Indian Style

Pasta is Italian cuisine. Nowadays you will see different shapes of pasta such as spaghetti (thin strings), maccheroni (tubes or cylinders), fusilli (swirls) and many more available in market.  So I was also tempted by it to try to make it at home. I cooked it and tasted really excellent. It is simple to make also. Moreover you can add many vegetables it to make it healthy. While preparing pasta one thing that is most important is to boil pasta carefully because if you overcook it then it can get spoiled. so read carefully on the packet of pasta that for how long it has to be boiled.
I took  maccheroni (tubes or cylinders) shape pasta.


  1. Pasta 2 cups
  2. Tomato 1 chopped
  3. Spring onion ½ cup
  4. Capsicum ½ cup
  5. Onion 1 large
  6. Pasta sauce  3 tbs
  7. Tomato sauce 2 tbs
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. Oil or butter (refined or olive)  for cooking
  10. Black pepper  as per taste
  11. Cheese optional


Wash pasta. In a pan put 2 cup of pasta take 6 cups of water add salt and 2 big spoon of cooking oil to it. Cook till it gets soft.   I was in hurry so I tried to boil it inside pressure cooker. When pressure cooker blew its first whistle I waited for one minute and then turned off the stove. When pressure is released from cooker check the pasta for its softness. if it is not of desire softness then boil it inside cooker for some more time but without  the lid of cooker.
When pasta is boiled then take it and wash in cold water and keep it aside.
Take a pan add cooking oil or butter . Now fry chopped onion in it. Then add spring onion, chopped tomatoes ,capsicum and salt in it. When it is fried add pasta sauce and tomato sauce and cook for one minute.
Add boiled pasta and black pepper powder and mix well.
If you like add cheese and serve.
