Ingredients for paneer pasanda

  • Paneer  500 gm
  • Curd 2 cup
  • Cashew 1/2 cup or mawa 1/2 cup.
  • Milk Cream 1or 1/2 cup.
  • Cumin seeds 1 table spoon.
  • Dried fenugreek leaves(Kasuri Methi) 2 table spoon.
  • Bay leaves one.
  • Garam Masala 1/2 table spoon.
  • Garlic 7-8 cloves.
  • Ginger 1 inch.
  • Onion 2 medium size.
  • Green chili 2.
  • Red chili powder 1 table spoon(Kashmiri or Degi Mirch).
  • Turmeric 1/2 table spoon.
  • Refined oil or Clarified butter 3-4 spoon.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Coriander leaves 1 bunch for garnishing.

Method for making pasanda curry

  • Cut paneer in 1 inch square and 0.5 cm thick pieces
  • Make paste of curd, garam masala, dried fenugreek, red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder.
  • Marinate paneer in this paste for 1 hour.
  • Make paste of Ginger, Garlic, Onion and green chilli
  • Heat oil in one deep pan.
  • Crackle with cumin seeds and bay leaves
  • Add Ginger, Garlic, Onion and green chilli paste in pan and fry it this oil get separated from it.
  • Now add mawa or cashew by making paste of that.
  • Cook it for while by stirring it.
  • Now add marinated paneer and paste to it.
  • Mix well and cook it for 8-10 min on medium flame.
  • Now add milk cream to it and garnish with coriander leaves.
