Fresh Mint chutney

Mint chutney is prepared from fresh mint leaves. Mint is excellent for digestive system.  It has carminative, expectorant, antifungal, anti-diarrhoeal, liver protective properties. Mint leaves are cooling, aromatic, refreshing and have bitter taste. You can prepare its chutney with some other ingredients such as chillies, imli which masks its bitter taste.

Here is recipe of Pudine ki chutney


Mint leaves, tomato (1), cumin powder (1/4 teaspoon), imli or tamarind pulp, green chilli, salt (as per taste)
You may use water soaked dried anardaana instead of imli. 

Recipe of Mint or Pudina chutney

  • Wash mint leaves and chop in small pieces.
  • Add all ingredients in blender with some water. The thickness of chutney is dependent on the water added.
  • Blend till smooth paste is prepared which is mint chutney.
  • Enjoy this with rice or roti.
