Kalonji Nigella Sativa

Kalonji consists of seeds of the dried seed of Nigella sativa L. (Fam. Ranunculaceae), a small herb, 45 to 60 cm. high; cultivated mostly in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam.

Kalonji has an antidiabetic effect.  It has a calming effect, and strengthens digestion. It is an effective designator of the lungs, uterus, channels, and mind.

Kalonji is contraindicated in pregnancy, as the seeds can cause miscarriage in large dose.

Neem

Neem (Synonym: Azadirachta indica Melia Azadirachta, Margosa Tree) is a well-known, and common tree of India. It has significant antiseptic, insecticide, Analgesic, Anti-inflammatory, and Laxative properties. It is a general antiseptic, and removes blood toxins.  It has cooling, and has a soothing effect. Neem is used to treat intestinal worms, heat-rash, boils, wounds, jaundice, leprosy, skin disorders, stomach ulcers, chicken pox, malarial fever, and diabetes.

Fenugreek

Methi is commonly known as Fenugreek. Its scientific name is Trigonella Foenum-Graecum.  Fenugreek tastes bitter, and is heating in potency.

Hi…I m prediabetic…earlier I used to take gylcodab once in a day ,empty stomach in morning now my doctor advised me to take diabeat twice a day after the meal but many of my known used to take it empty stomach…I m bit confused…I m 39yrs old…plz let me know that is it really effective if I have it after my meals…thx
