My Udaipur Trip

Udaipur is one of the most popular tourist destination of Rajasthan, it is also known as white city. It has so many shimmering lakes that it is also known as city of lakes. Once you are here you will have opportunity to see scenic beauty, lakes , awesome temples, historical sites and forts.

So I decided to go to Udaipur along with my family. Actually when you go for some trip, you get a chance to spend some quality time with family also it brings much required change from same daily boring life. So to forget all daily stress and refresh ourselves we packed our bags and left for Udaipur .

Best time to visit

The best time is winter that is from October to February when the weather is pleasant.

How to reach

Udaipur is well connected by air, rail network and roads to other major cities of India.

Main Attractions

  1. City Palace Museum:

    This is museum inside the city palace that displays large and diverse artifacts, weapons, double edged swords ,helmets, paintings and splendid lifestyle of kings. This is major attraction of Udaipur.
  2. Lake-Pichola:

  3. This is a human created fresh/sweet water lake situated in heart of city. In center of this there is a five star hotel on an island in center of lake. This hotel is heritage hotel of Udaipur. This hotel is also one of the great attractions of Udaipur city.
  4. This is a very beautiful garden decorated with fountains, lotus, fountains and lush green lawns.
  5. Saheliyon-Ki-Bari:

    This is a very beautiful garden decorated with fountains, lotus, fountains and lush green lawns.
  6. Fateh Sagar:

    This lake was built in 1678 by Maharana Fateh Singh. In the middle of this lake is a garden ‘Nehru Park’. You can take a motor boat to reach the park.
  7. Gulab Bagh and Zoo:

    This is beautiful garden spread in over 100 acre of land. Zoo is inside this garden. Here you can enjoy a toy train ride.
  8. Shiplgram:

    This is a craft village. Here you can see and shop the handicrafts and also various musicians, dancers are always ready to entertain you with their folk arts. Here you can also enjoy Kalbaliya dances and Rajasthani folk music. During winters shiplgram mela is also held.

  9. Karni Mata Temple:

    This a temple situated on peak of a hill. You can reach here by enjoying a ride in a ropeway.
  10. Eklingji Temple:

    This is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is made of black marbles.
  11. Nathdwara Temple:

    This is temple dedicated to Lord Shrinathji.
  12. Maharana Pratap Smarak:

    It is a historical site at Moti Magri Or Pearl hill. Here is a life sized bronze statue of Maharana Pratap balanced on his loyal and favorite horse Chetak.
  13. Haldighati:

    This is a historical site that derives its name from the yellow color soil that is found here. Actually it is a mountain pass in arvalii range connecting district of Rajsamand and Pali of witnessed the battle of 1576 between Rana Pratap of mewar and Raja ManSingh of Amber.

At some distance from here is Badshahi Bagh that is famous for ‘Chaitri Gulab’. From here you can buy original rose water and gulkand.
