Skin dryness is very common during winters as well as summer. Skin can become dry due to various reasons. During winter when temperature dips moisture present in air also dips. Using heater or blower further aggravates the problems by taking away moisture from air as well as skin. Then hot water causes more skin dryness. In summer season when the wind speed is high and moisture level is low skin dryness occurs.
There are various home remedies that can help you in curing skin dryness effectively.
Mix coriander juice (1 tsp) with turmeric (a pinch). Wash your face, skin and apply before going to bed.
Mash banana, mix honey and apply on face for 15 minutes then wash off with water.
Mix milk and honey and apply for 15 minutes.
Chamomile Essential Oil
Mix few drops of chamomile essential oil in virgin coconut oil and massage skin with this to cure skin dryness.
You can also add few drops of chamomile essential oil in half of bucket water used for bathing.
Apply papaya fruit pulp or juice on skin before bathing.
Aloe vera is good moisturiser. You can take fresh gel of it and apply evenly on face. Wash after few minutes this cures skin dryness. Some people are allergic to Aloe vera so please do a patch test and if you feel itching, redness then avoid using it.
Drink adequate amount of water to keep skin hydrated.
It is obvious if you are dehydrated from inside then it will show up on your outer skin.
