Malla Sindoor Benefits, Ingredients, Dosage

Malla-Sindur is a mineral formulation of Ayurveda and contains Malla. Malla is Arsenic Trioxide, As2O3. It is also known by many other names viz. Sankhiya, Gauripashan and Fenashma. Arsenic is a strong poison and in Ayurvedic medicines it is used only after proper detoxification. Malla Sindur is referenced from Siddha Bheshj Manimala. It should be given in very low dosage with Sitopaladi churna.

Warning: The oral intake of Malla sindoor increases heart beat and stimulates arteries. This medicine should be used carefully in persons with Pitta Prakriti. This medicine should not be taken during high fever.

Shuddha Parad 90 g, Shuddha Gandhak 55 g, Ras Karpur or Calomel 90 g, Malla 45 grams, Processed in Aloe vera juice

Uses of Malla Sindoor

Malla Sindoor is useful in Vata and Kapha diseases. It is a useful medicine for treating diseases due to bacteria, virus etc. and given for treating Haija/Cholera, Malaria, Syphilis.

This medicine is also given for Sujak. Malla Sindoor gives good result in treatment of Vata diseases, Pakshaghata (Hemiplegia), Amavat Rheumatism, Gout and Kapha diseases, Pneumonia, Respiratory illness.

Malla Sindoor is also indicated in Hysteria, Weakness in old age, Chronic Asthma, Indigestion, Weakness of male sex organ, Influenza, Visham jwar, Prameha.

Dosage of Malla Sindoor

Malla Sindoor is a mineral formulation containing purified Arsenic, Parad and gandhaka. It is very strong and hot in potency. This medicine should be taken only under medical supervision. The dosage of this medicine is 1/2 ratti to 1 ratti, two times a day. The exact dosage is dependent on patient’s strength, condition and disease. The medicine should be taken with honey or Sitopaladi Churna (1g) and honey, for kapha roga with ginger juice and honey.
