Refreshing drink Rooh Afza

Rooh Afza is refreshing drink prepared from invert sugar (glucose and fructose), herbs and fruit juices. It is manufactured by HAMDARD LABORATORIES. Sharbat Rooh Afza was introduced in 1907, and was included in the first list of drugs of Hamdard in 1908. Sharbat Rooh Afza is useful in protecting and treating dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. It is also helpful in fever, vomiting, diarrhoea and stomach ache.

The drink is prepared by mixing 50 ml of Rooh Afza in glass of iced water. Rooh Afza does not contain fat, cholesterol and artificial flavours.

Ingredient of Rooh Afza

Each 100 ml contains
Invert sugar syrup base 80 ml
Pineapple juice 8 ml
Distilled 4.5 ml, extract of:
Coriandrum stivum (corander/Dhania)
Daucus carota (carrot/Gajar)
Portulaca oleracea(garden purslane/Khurafa)
Spinacea oleracea(Spinach/palak)
Mentha arvensis(Mint/podina)
Luffa cylindrical(smooth luffa/Hara ghia)
Cichorium intybus(Endive/Kasni)
Vitis vinifera(Dried grapes/Munnaqqa) 2.25ml
Santalum album white sandal wood (Sandal safed)
Vetiveria zizanioides(Khas-khas gass khas Hindi)
Parmelia perlata(Stone flowers/Chhrrhila)
Nymphaea nauchali(Waterlily/Gul Nilofar)
Borago officinalis(Burge gaozaban)
Distillate of Keora 3.5 ml
Orange juice 2 ml
Distillate of citrus medica 0.4ml
Distillate of Rosa damascene 0.6 ml
