Ayurveda: Coriander leaves benefits

Coriander is also know as Dhania(hindi) or cilantro. The leaves are variable in shape, broadly lobed at the base of the plant, and slender and feathery higher on the flowering stems. All part of plant are edible but fresh leaves and dried seeds are very common in use. There are very health benefits of coriander leaves and dried seeds.


Fresh leaves are very common in foods in al over world for making dressing of different dishes, chutny, as spices in cooking.

Health benefits of coriander leaves:

Chemical found in fresh coriander leaves are antibacterial in nature. It is very good source of of Vitamin C, A and great source of antioxidants. It is very helpful in joint pains. It will remove swelling of body joints and stops production of biochemical in body which are responsible for join swelling. It is very helpful in treatment of gathia.

Coriander leave are also helpful in removing toxins from body.

This is a very good source of natural digestive fibers.

You can use few drops of coriander leaves juice in eye to cure itch and irritation.

You can also use coriander leaves juice in bleeding nose. It will stop bleeding and you you can also apply paste of leaves on forehead to stop nose bleeding.

Fresh coriander leaves very effective to decrease the cholesterol level in the blood.

Note: Coriander leaves can cause allergy in some people and it should be avoided during pregnancy.
