My Jodhpur Trip

Jodhpur in Rajasthan India is a very popular tourist destination. It has many palaces, forts and temples to see. Jodhpur is also known by ‘sun city’ because of its sunny weather that stays throughout year. The other name is ‘blue city’ that is because of the blue painted walls of the houses that give it the blue appearance.

When to visit Jodhpur

The best time is winter that is from October to February when the weather is pleasant.

How to reach Jodhpur

Jodhpur is well connected by air, rail network and roads to other major cities of India. You can easily get travel tickets through online ticket bookings or any travel agencies.

Major attractions of Jodhpur

Mehrangarh fort:

it is largest fort of Rajasthan and within the fort there are many attractions you can see

  4. Zenana Deodi
  5. Chamunda Mataji Mandir

There is also a museum with many galleries

  2. Palanquin

Umaid Bhawan palace:

This palace was built by maharaja Umaid Singh and completed in 1944. Maharaja of jodhpur still lives here. The half of building is converted to 5 star hotel and a small museum.

Jaswant Thada:

It is at walking distance from Mehrangarh fort. It is white cenotaph built in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.

Foods to eat In Jodhpur:

You will get many variety of food in Jodhpur vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Mostly you will get spicy food here. Jodhpur’s kachoda is very famous for it’s size and test.
